ELONGATE continues its support in India through a new social impact initiative in Dehli, one of India’s most populated cities and capital. An estimated 1.8 million people are experiencing homelessness across India, many of whom reside within the major cities.
Coordinated through their Continent Manager for Asia, Shubham Bisht, Elongate funded and organized an initiative to support people in need. Volunteers from the Elongate community hand-delivered meals to 75 people living in the streets of Delhi. In addition, the team helped 20 people residing in the आँगन Old Age Home, who are often unable to work or earn a liveable income, providing them with necessities such as water coolers, walking sticks, masks, and slippers.
Inspired by the mission and vision of Elongate and their drive to help those in need, Gaurav Rana, Himanshu Rai, Gagan Sharma, and Mohit Kumar, all of whom are volunteers from the Elongate community, stepped up to take action for this initiative.
