Today The ELONGATE team went live with Suzanne Ehlers from the Malala Fund, which aims to break the barriers that prevent 130 million girls from participating in education. The goal is to grant every girl the right to 12 years of free, safe, and quality education. The ELONGATE team has contributed $25,000 to the Malala Fund to further support this cause.
The contribution is the beginning of a long-term partnership and seed fund. The team over at Elongate strongly believes in their cause. Girls around the world deserve education to advance their learning, leading, and human rights. They deserve the opportunity to contribute to society, economies and earn a living.
The Malala Fund supports local educators and advocates who understand the barriers in their respective regions. They focus on international, national, and local advocacy to provide equal opportunity for girls to achieve their educational goals. The educational goals of the girls they support are high, and as a result, they put high expectations on leaders and policymakers.
Throughout the pandemic, they have been focused on remote learning by increasing access to technology and services for those who are part of the program. The funds invested into the Malala fund are used for advocates, activists, groups, services, technology, and organizations that are bringing education to girls. Malala is a co-founder and chairs the board. She is deeply and intimately involved in every aspect of the organization.
The Malala Fund is constantly evolving and finding new and innovative ways to increase access to education for girls. You can find more info about the Malala Fund at https://malala.org/about or visit them on Twitter (@MalalaFund).
