EGSwap integrates with Chainalysis

EGSwap, our multi-chain DEX integrates with Chainlalysis.

About Chainalysis

Chainalysis is a blockchain data platform. They provide data, software, services, and research to government agencies, exchanges, financial institutions, and insurance and cybersecurity companies in over 70 countries. Their data powers investigation, compliance, and market intelligence software that has been used to solve some of the world’s most high-profile criminal cases and increase consumer access to cryptocurrency safely.

About the Integration

To stop illicit activities taking place on EGSwap & especially on EGSpectre, our innovative cross-chain bridge which also provides private/anonymous transactions on the blockchain, we have integrated with Chainalysis. Their data, products, APIs and services will enable us to avoid interacting with sanctioned entities. This will allow us to bolster our compliance programs and adhere to sanctions policies.

This adds an extra layer of protection on top of our internal risk mitigation protocols.

In addition to providing information on wallets related to sanctioned entities, Chainlalysis also provides information on smart contract exploits, hacks & terror financing. Chainalysis maps hundreds of millions of addresses to real-world entities, adding hundreds of new services every week – a third of which are scams, and other illicit services – bolstering our compliance, investigation and investment needs.

What are Sanctioned Entities?

Sanctioned entities refer to entities listed on economic/trade embargo lists, such as by the US, EU, or UN, with which anyone subject to those jurisdictions is prohibited from dealing. Currently, this includes the Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) list† of the US Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).

You can search the full list of OFAC Specially Designated Nationals in OFAC’s sanctions database.
