The Philippines has been one of the harder-hit Pacific region countries regarding the impact of the global pandemic. The country is in the process of speeding up its slow vaccine rollout. During this process, cases continue to overwhelm their healthcare system that lacks adequate PPE in some places.
ELONGATE has stepped forward through a social impact initiative where they provided much-needed PPE equipment to healthcare workers. With the help of the Elongate Philippines ambassadors, staff at the New Sinai MDI Hospital received packages that included face masks, sanitizers, and PPE kits. This hospital was chosen to receive the donations as they do not charge patients for PPE, unlike many other facilities in the country. These items will go a long way in helping limit the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
