StarShip Donates $50k to ELONGATE’s #CryptoForCures Fund

ELONGATE’s call to the cryptocurrency community for donations to their #CryptoForCures Fund has seen several crypto projects step up. The most recent project to answer the call is the StarShip Team, with a $50,000 donation to the fund.

Elongate founded #CryptoForCures earlier this year with EB Research Partnership (EBRP). The goal is to raise money through cryptocurrency to cure the often fatal and rare disease Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB), which currently has no known cure with hundreds of thousands of children suffering worldwide. Elongate initially seeded the fund with $280,000 to raise $1,000,000 by the end of the year. In celebration of EBRP’s upcoming Venture Into Cures fundraiser, Elongate announced a campaign to match up to $50,000 in contributions to their fund.

StarShip has generously provided Elongate with a space station in their metaverse, and funds earned from that virtual space station will go directly to EBRP and other charitable organizations.

The donation from StarShip brought the total contributions to #CryptoForCures at over $500,000, and in combination with recent contributions from BabyCake, TCG World, and the BitBoy Crypto team, the match campaign from Elongate has surpassed its $50,000 goal.
